Data centers deserve modern tools.
The infrastructure powering the digital economy is managed with spreadsheets and software from 2012. Rackvio exists to change that.
Why the DCIM market is broken
Data center infrastructure management software has not kept pace with the facilities it manages. The dominant tools in the market were designed a decade ago for a world of single-site, on-premise deployments. They were built by conglomerates that sell hardware first and treat software as an afterthought.
The result is an industry where colocation operators track millions of dollars of power capacity in Excel, where a single rack move requires updating three disconnected systems, and where the software meant to provide visibility into your infrastructure actually obscures it behind layers of complexity.
These tools are expensive, slow to deploy, and resistant to customization. They charge six-figure implementation fees, require dedicated administrators, and still cannot answer the question every operator asks daily: how much capacity do I actually have available to sell?
We think the industry deserves better. Not an incremental update to legacy architecture, but a platform built from scratch for how data centers actually operate today.
A different approach
Rackvio is a closed-source commercial product distributed under a proprietary license. We protect our intellectual property so we can invest aggressively in R&D -- and pass the results to our customers as capabilities no other platform offers.
Rackvio was built for the cloud from day one. Not a legacy on-premise tool adapted with a web UI bolted on top -- a modern platform designed for multi-tenant, multi-site operations with real-time collaboration and zero infrastructure burden on your team.
Our portfolio of patent applications covers novel methods for three-state power gap analytics, procedural rack rendering, and capacity reservation modeling. These are not incremental improvements -- they represent fundamentally new approaches to problems the industry has accepted as unsolvable.
Every feature in Rackvio is accessible through a published OpenAPI specification. Integrations are first-class, not afterthoughts. Whether you need to feed data into your monitoring stack, automate provisioning workflows, or build custom dashboards -- the API is the product.
Founded by operators
The founders spent years working in data center operations and enterprise infrastructure management -- deploying, configuring, and maintaining the physical and logical systems that keep critical facilities running.
They built Rackvio because the tools available to operators did not match the complexity or pace of the environments they managed. Every design decision in the platform comes from direct experience with the problems it solves.
